I know this photo don't follow the elementary rule of phto but I like the separation in the middle with the neon (You can read "Soba-Udon on it).

Another version in colors in the workshop.

Bonjour Marc,

very nice b/w Marc :) the tones look good
good street photo, i like this better then the color version :)

Sometimes you have to break the rules. I find this shot very interesting. I think the sepia works well, not just because of the fact that the colors are too busy on the original, but also because the lights are interesting enough to make the sepia nice. There is a lot of sdetail, and the shot shows a lot of human activity without actually focusing on any one human being. I think it is intriguing that we see no faces, but everyone seems to be doing what they want to be doing. I like this shot.

marc,
a nice compo, very well defining the street life there.there seemed some tilt and shift troubles in this compo to me and I tried small ws ,hope u don't mind.
regards

mmm...hungry! This version is the one i prefer.Good compo, good choice of colours.I like the movement on the main street.Really good! Francesco

Hi Marc,
I like this shot, it's always interesting to see people and places of other parts of the world. Just looking, how they are living, often so different from my life, but that's what I like to see. So thanks for this impressing shot. B/W image is very good here.

Bravo. Amitié, Patty.

I like the separation between the shop and the people on the street in the background. It's a shame that you can't see the men acually eating the soba or udon (holding the bowl, or something like that). The choice of sepia makes the neon light stand out more. Very nice.

Merci pour le partage de tes photos. Bon choix du sépia pour la présentation.
Paul
