Been working on the Egg Scavenger Hunt, but the shots came out awful, wrong light, wrong white balance, messy and very inexperienced photographer.

I settled with a tea timer. Yellow sand is 3 minutes for normal tea. Blue for 1 minute for green tea. The white I don't know, nor did the lady in the shop... perhaps its specially for eggs. Your guess is as good as mine.

Studio: Kitchen table. White board at back being proped up with a bottle of wine. Natural light from the window. Tripod was a pile of CDs.
... Tinka was in the garden, so I had the whole studio to myself!

super !

Hi Diana,
simple object, but wonderful motive, very impressing. Again so creative and with excellent quality. Thank you very much, bye

I have an hour-glass within reach here, and attempted some pictures (but none satisfactory so far). Your experiment turned out very well Diana, well composed, colourful though limited with a nice deformation and excellent sharpness.

Hi Diana,

Excellent shot and well done on the composition and details.
Post pro in Photoshop? which one.? ;)

Mike

Very aesthetic. With a little distortion in the shade. Also very creative. Cheer!

SUPERBE! la couleur est magique, je me suis permis de la mettre en fond d'écran! ;) merci beaucoup un beau partage

wow this is gorgoeus, the work of a genius

I have never seen a tri function timer, it's very cool. The simplicity of this is its greatest apeal, it is very elegant too.

Quite simply splendid. Work of professionnel. The distortion of the shade gives much of interest to the composition! Cheer! Annie

Very smart job, Diana! I like it how the shadows draw your attention to the fact that there are three columns of sand. And then you notice the three different colors... It's a happy compo. :)

Hello Diana,

Fantastic shot for the hunt! Very creative. The colors are nice, but I think it is the shadow that makes the shot. The bend is very interesting and unique. Good use of studio tools ;-) TFS

i am speachless... one question: the shaddow is real? it can't be... so it's your work?... if it's so, I think you're a genius... very philosophical interpretation of the ideea of "time"... of all the time's theorys of the XX century (bergson, einstein etc)

it is really a great work!

do you like Magritte?:))

best wishes,
anca

..."messy and inexperienced photographer"...that's Tinka, right? because this look superb, and professionally done! You idea is great, I love the way you made the backround using a bottle! It gave such an amazing effect of the shadow...great work!!
congrats!

Diana, this really is a fantastic studio shot, what can be better than creating an artwork and incorporating wine at the same time! ;-)
Do you commit many of your photographs to print? I think this would look great as a poster.
Kindest regards

Very creative again, Diana. I don't know how you come up with these ideas but I am very very jealous as I cannot come up with anything like this, even if my life depended on it!!! This is beautifully done, great light, great set-up, great colours, and great shadows and lots of kudos for the set-up of your studio (I do hope you also drank the wine!!!). Excellent!

I am so sorry but I am out of green smiles for the day!!!!

Great shot, Diana! There is a purity to the scene that is awesome. Very professional looking picture. Great job!

I really love the graphism in this image, Diana. The object straightforward and in-line, the shadow very detailed and playfully distorted by the curved paper, and with a nice light effect in them...
Well, I usually don't "play" with a bottle of wine, but I like the result you got from it. Was the bottle full or empty ?

Again a very creative idea Diana, subjet is simple, very sharp and crisp shot, simple background with a single shot of a striking colour. Very nice work, Sam
PS - Inexperienced photographer ? No way /...!

A clever POV as we don't see often! It let see well 3 level of sand ... asking whit it is? No! The shadow give the answer! The colors are very clear! It's sharp! Excellent Shot!

Hard to tell why this is attractive. I like the contrast in straight and bended lines; the making of different angles; the swith between flat and 3D.

Love this one Diana. The composition and DOF are perfect. Just great, Paul.

Excellent picture Diana. The lighting here is great and the way you have given the shadow a curved effect creates a nice balance to the shot. Great work

John

I admire to strongness of shadow. Envy is the only word for this shot. I want to take a shot something like that Diana. Very impressive, so good choice of object for a this kind of shot. Thanks alot, excellent!

Amazing image Diana! This really is a work of Art. The curved shadows are fantastic. One for my favoutites.

...tim

Love the contrasts, the bright blue sand vs. the blacks & whites. The curve of the shadow draws your interest more than if the white board had been straight up & down. Could even crop tighter and focus more on the shadows, but this is great! I really like the stark, clean lines. It gives me all kinds of ideas on things I can shoot next to a window!

SUPER!!!!!!!!!!! great project I love it , great colors and efect

Beautiful shot. Excellent lighting. Love the way the shadows curl up. Like they want to fight the light and get back in the subject.

Great work & sounds like you improvise well to get a shot!! Love the bent shadow effect! Don

Hi, Diana!

Such a long time, isn't it!
First of all, the photo: it's simply stunning, the way you made such a prosaic subject look like the most modern sci-fi. This shot is really impressive, as well as the "studio" you had available. Wish I could do things like these. One of my favorites from now on.

Yep, my twins are really grown, thanks God. I've been really apart from TL, but I'm still active at my page on TrekEarth. I've been studying in the last times and I hope to upgrade my gear in the current year.

Meantime, let's stay in touch. Your portfolio here became really amazing.
