Very nice picture. I really like the colors. Your DOF is very good, almost too narrow thought, you wouldn't want the petals to be out of focus while the center is not. Unless that's the effect you went for. Nice frame to add to this excellent picture.

Excellent pictures Barry... nice colour and effective isolation using the shallow DOF.

I also find that the picture is slightly too "hot", try to reduce the contrast or slightly reduce in exposure.

Good focusing and effective DOF. The Yellow and orange colours really attracted me. Good combination of warm colours.

I like that 1 flower is coming out in a field of the same flowers. It is like saying: here I am, look at me, ain't I beautifull. I like it that the photo is just focussing on one flower.

Just asside comment, I read you're intro and your bad experience in South Africa. I only wanted to say, if they laughed at your photo's they are very stupid people. Making photo's is a learning process and some days you have brilliant photo's and other days....this photo you made is brilliant!!! Well done.
