The Welsh John Cale is not a famous rock star, but as a founder of the Velvet Underground (with Lou Reed) and a producer of seminal rock albums, he is as close as one can call a legend, and one of the few real gentlemen in the shark-infested rock business.

I caught him at my local Record Store, a few blocks away from my home in San Francisco, playing a short acoustic set, being on the road yet once more.
