A white reflector like a piece of white paper hold close to her left side would have brighten up her left cheek which is a bit too dark right niw.

A beautiful image of your niece. Such a pretty child. I like how you captured this with her left side a little shadowed. Still, the light gives the skin tones a soft, natural finish.
I am still in the experimenting process of capturing portraits. I don't think my PR with people is a problem, but I just don't know how to make them look good in pictures.
