Persevere and you will succeed.
You get my two points for sharing the setup in WS! Very encouraging! :) As for the pic: the top lighter part detracts the viewer's attention from the Omm sign, but this is not necessarily bad, and it may not be a problem for other viewers. Thanks for sharing!

Guten Tag Jan
It looks like '30'. I like the effect of the grain & noise. The background looks like ink saturated blotting paper. Lighting & sharpness are excellent. Good work!

creative solution, have you tried working with reflected light? Many things can be used as reflectors, from white sheets, to gold paper, to aluminium foil(kitchen), to a piece of styrofoam..., M, (*_*)

It was really interesting to look at your 'studio'. How simple, but how effective. It has given a wonderful light across this subject and I like the way the background is shaded also. Very nice effect indeed.
Cheers Joan

I really love the texture of the background here and the gradients of light and shadow and tones are just wonderful. Excellent simple shot and compo with the calligraphic statuette at the corner of the frame. Good with the lighting coming in from the left onto the object, which is seems to be positioned "facing" the light source. This really communicates the spiritual and light message of the photo. Maybe I would crop a couple of centimeters off the top since the amount of negative space above is just a little too much. But really excellent the way you conveyed the mood and message with such a simple shot. Good exposure and shine on the statuette too. I have never tried Yoga at all but I have heard it feels rejuvenating to use it everyday. TFS!

Hi Jan
Power packed shot (literally!). I like the soft golden streak of light just in line with the symbol 'OM' and the rest of the background texture and color gives an enchanting look...
Good that you are a Yoga fan, surely you must have gained a lot of health and sanity in life.
I hope to follow soon friend :) Good job with the shot.
Congrats and thanks for sharing the studio setup workshop...very useful ;)
Cheers!
