This is a photo of the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. I forget the actual stats, but this is a salt plain that is about 20,000 square kilometers in size. Rain here is very rare, but when it does rain, there is nowhere for the water to go, so it sits ontop of the salt. Most of the year there is about 1 to 10 cms of water sitting on top of the plain in some parts. As you can guess, this water reflects the sky perfectly, so you see diamond-shaped mountains like this in the distance. Very wierd feeling being out there.
I guess the colours and the landscape there are so out of this world that photoshop doesn't know what to do with them. All I did was used the "equalize" feature in my PS elements, and it turned my perfectly normal photo into this!
I kinda liked it.
I have also posted the original photo as a workshop so you can compare the two. |

Sometimes Photoshop has a mind of its own! I actually like what you've done to it. It brings out more detail in the snow (although the colours are funny!). Love the sparkles in the snow.
Great picture !!! I went there and I understand how hard is try to make that picture...
the mountain at the back is Isla Pescado ?
Cheers
