[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a recent self portrait with a lot of post processing in Photoshop as follows.
Cropped, used cloning tool to remove some spots and blemishes, converted to grayscale, adjusted curves, converted back to RGB, overall image; adjusted color using color balance, selected the eyes and adjusted the color again to bring in an intense blue, selected the lips and adjusted the color again to give a redish hue, adjusted curves again to give more of a washed out appearance, adjusted color again by desaturating the whole image, adjusted the color on the eyes again.

Critiques [Translate]

Hi David - nice meeting you. While I must appreciate your very intense looks and a personality that is not easy to forget - your execution here is unusual and impelling. I like the 'bareness' of the picture that straight takes you to elements that are critical and relevant to the portrayal. And I like most the fact that despite so many steps of processing you have managed a very natural and spontaneous image. One great show.

I see you have 211 points and not even a silver star. This means that you take very little if any time with the photographs of others. This is a two-way street; take the time to view and COMMENT or CRITICIZE on the work of others. Do you even respond to the comments made on your work? This is a good photograph. I like the intensity of the eyes of your subject as well as the composition.

i think this is a very nice self portrait, i like how your eyes look at the world out there, nice use of light and tones
