Bounce flash angled off ceiling behind camera and to the left side of my hand.
Processed from RAW, saturation and contrast adjusted slightly, UMS, resized, re-sharpened.

This was quite a project to undertake. I did not realize how difficult it is to photograph the hand and capture the desired emotion. I tried angled across the frame, shooting up, down and any way I could think of. Right in the center seemed to work the best for what I was trying to express.

Thanks for looking, critiquing, but mostly feeling.

I can imagine how hard it was to take that picture. I can imagine you trying and trying again. That's what makes this photo so precious.

another very emotional work, which is somehow hard to comment in words (if one doesn't want to use yet another cliché ...)
This is very warm, and inviting ... and after all, thanks for the note, I'm glad not to be the only having a hard time finding out the right angle, the perfect light etc. for a result that I want.

Beautiful and full of emotion in this open hand seeming to invite us to come in the picture, Kevin. Beautiful light and great details on your hands as we can even see the rough skin on your thumb. Very creative & well done. Excellent!

So strong shot. Very well managed. I like the fingertips little blurry but the hand is so sharpen with all details. Great light makes the shot so impressive.

Very well done. Nice detailing, good mood. A lot of your pictures make me think of redemption and closure for some reason. This really goes with your gate series. Thank you for your patience. I am back on line after a few busy weeks on the docks. I am now enjoying three days off before attending to another ship on Tuesday 350kms away further North. But I will post critiques almost daily. Be aware! And I will try to post a few shots too.
