| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Portuguese] |
Some time has passed since I publish my last photograph. ..the work and the absence of time has served me of excuse.
The history of this picture is simple: I was invited by a student to watch a Christmas show of the school of dance where she's studying.
The school it's only the best school of dance in Portugal (said by other's not only for me) - it's the Academy of Contemporary Dance, in Setúbal (for the time being)associated to the Company of Contemporary Dance(the CêDêCê) who had to abandon the city for lack of supports.
It's great to see the joy and at the same time the seriousness that these small dancers dance, aspiring perhaps to be professional dancers one day, thing that in Portugal is, as we know, barely impossible.
The soul of a people it's his culture. ..I wonder if that our rulers know about that? To me it looks like we are dying. |
