Wonderful moment, great capture, I like it a lot. A bit of sharpness would be helpful, but that's asking for too much, knowing the movement patterns of those tiny hands. :)

Congratulations on having a baby! "Sophie" means "wisdom", and I know she'll be the source of a lot of fun, learning, and happiness as years go by. Have a great Christmas season with all the family!

Very nice composition representativ the Christmas mood. The chubby baby hand reaching out in wonder to touch the shiny red ball on the tree. It's what Christmas is all about, the wonder of little children and the happiness shared with families.

very strong and very significant this photo is. Very good use of shallow DOF. I fully understand your joy for in my home there is similar small hand trying to catch the glass balls... but this hand is already over one year old :-D

Been going through the gallery to catch-up on all of the beautiful pictures I missed during my vacations and this one caught my eyes and I had to leave a comment. It is just so touching and so full of emotion. The little hand entering the frame and tentitatively touching the Christmas decoration as a gesture of discovery is just beautiful. Nicely composed, great colours & DOF. Excellent!

P.S. I am certain your daughter has a wonderful first Christmas and my best wishes for 2006 and many more Christmas with her!

Maybe you think it is a bit late to comment on this one and you're probably right! I just could not resist, must have missed it in all the fuzz on Christmas Eve... OK... Very symbolic, in one simple picture you give us what Christmas is all about... Children! Very well done!
