[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Although I've posted pics of him already, I never really talked about him, my first dog ever. His presence fills my life, I never thought two years ago when deciding on getting a dog, that it would have meant so much to me. Of course I was going to love him, like all animals, but didn't imagine, couldn't imagine the joy he'd give me. And he was there, often the only one, when I was feeling sad. This is a most deserved tribute to my good friend Rudo, a word his name that -in the shona language of Africa- means L O V E. How appropriate!

This photo, one of my favourites, was shot the first day he was with me at home. Rudo was playing with the pinecone visible in front of him and this was a rare moment of stillness when he looked at me with that cute expression. Must have been the first time he saw a person lying down on the grass with that strange object (the camera) between hands!
I took this with an old Nikon 885, a great little camera that I miss.
Did nothing to the photo except for cropping, framing and sharpening for TL.

I hope that you like it.
Martina

Martina,
What a priceless expression on Rudo's face. What kind of dog is he? He is beautiful and I love the composition, how you set him up in the with his front legs and head making the corner rather than centering him. Bravo!

Hi Martina,
I saw your pictures...one thing is sure that you love dogs...:)
Regards
Amit
