[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Frances is the youngest daughter of my sister, Gia's and Alyssa's sister (my previous posts). She's fondly called "Kikay", an endearment for someone as naturally funny as her. This shot proves it. Without me prompting her, she put her neclace around her head and use the laundry basket's cap as a prop. I like it. She looks ethnic.

She looks ethnic?
She looks GORGEOUS!
OK, ethnic, too.
If you can drag your eyes away from her eyes, the laundry basket lid in itself is scattered with different colours and enhanced by the light leaking through. Shadow patterns - just gorgeous. 10/10 without thinking about it.

Cracking shot Manny, don't know if its my imagination, but the pictures seem even better since you changed camera and lens, what do you think?

Brilliant portrait...again. Keep looking at it and can't help wishing that maybe, just maybe, one day I'll be able to deliver this kind of quality.

Soft and beautiful. Simple and stunning. Wonderful use of light.
What happended to the 50mm f1.8? I just got one and am learning to use it a bit.

She's a nice model, but then you can make a rock look like a goldnut Manny. I was seldom disappointed by your choice of models and the feective compo and treatment.
I was just thinking : what would it be if you changed places with bogdan (TE) for a while.... wouldn't that be interesting ?
Great, as ever

Beautiful portrait. Interesting concept and nice light.

A lovely pose but not one of your better portraits. I am little worried about the lighting. Face and chest fine but the harsh lighting has burnt out the skin on her left arm. I'm not sure about half a right hand also. As I say, nice shot but I seen better ones of yours.

Beautifull as always Manny. Even without showing the name of the photographer i can pin point your photos. You are really excelent and i have so much to learn from you. I always find your photos to be a big inspiration for me. Yes, she do look very ethnic, as part of mother nature. She is a beautiful girl

Excellent as always. Good idea on the soft shade.

Hi Manuel,

I see you are relying on your photography skills. That's a good thing, since you have a wonderful machine to work with.

You did well with the composition and you have beautiful models to work with, a bonus. Colors are beautiful.

Lighting can be improved, blown out on shoulder and arm. The eyes on a model is critical as well, here, the model is looking too far to her left, it could have been a minor thing, however, the makeup blends with the dark of the eye.

7/10

good, good, good Manuel, very good. jerzy

hi manny,

your many many photos are very good,

Beautiful portrait. Clever composition with the angles and looking sideways.

Very nice and gentel portrait Manny! I like that calming (blurred?) green background that can also be seen in her eyes and through the basket, forming a hat with lovely colors. Composition is great this time (as any time) and seems like that new Nikon really pushed you a bit further. Go for it!

Robert

Hi Manuel,

Very sweet and oriental portrait! The colours are so soft! Even the sunlight that passes through the basket touches very gently Frances' skin. It's a very professional photo. :)
Well done!
Regards.

I like this portrait with its amazing colors. I'd like to see you experimenting with the shadow of the hat. I think you can do something great with the face blinded by the shadow design of the hat...
I always admire your work. You're a great inspiration to me.

I like the lighting on this one. I also like how the basket cover and her arms framed her face
