Beautiful Deadvlei. Part of Sossusvlei this ephemeral pan was cut off from water hundreds of years ago resulting in the trees to die and petrify. The dead trees in combination with the cracked white mud surface and the red sand dunes give this desolate place a surreal feeling. Really a place to sit down and take it all in ... or alternatively make photos. A very special experience.

Amazing contrast in the colors and I love the lines created by the dunes. Good shot! B

An interesting place, well photographed. Wonderful mix of colours. The proportions are good also. The petrified trees work well to break-up white mud plain and add interest to the photo.

Beautiful image of a very stark place. I would be tempted to make two images out of this. One the blue sky and the orange dunes, and the other the lower part, the orange dune and the white forground.

Hi Raymond
Very beautiful landscape! I like it. The cadre is great

schitterende foto raymond.
de complementaire kleuren van lucht en zandduinen versterken elkaar en de dode bomen ook al complementair met de achtergrond, geven het nog iets bijzonder. jammer dat 2 het maximun is hier.

Beautiful & not frequently seen lanscape, Raymond, so thanks for bringing it to us. Nice constrast between the red & the white as well as some nice curves in the sand dunes. Excellent!

It feels as if I am there myself. Nice POV. Colours bright. I posted a workshop. Willem

This is a beauty. The landscape sucks me in, a very good sign that the photograph is successful.

The photo has the atmosphere of the actual place itself.

Hi Raymond,

Very nice photo and scary landscape, I would say... :)
I wouldn't like to be left there... :)
The colour combination here is great; the white mud with the brown sand and the clear blue sky. I like the way the photo is seperated in layers.
Nice natural lighting and POV!
Well done!

Lovely color, and a nice place to be zen.

Hier toon je ons goed de kleurenpracht van de woestijn Raymond.
