I used the adjustment layers - Levels, and not the direct Levels so as to use the alpha mask provided by the adjustment layer itself. After enhancing the overall look I started to spray areas I didn't need with the paint brush in the mask with different opacities to reveal or hide areas wanted or not.

(140) [2006-09-19 05:07:54] | Hi Carolina, I experimented a little bit with Gradient Maps in Photoshop. When adjusting the colours to the image I was attentive at what colours I will use where and when. For example I used dark purple colour for shadows, red for mid tones and yellow for highlights.

I did it just for increase a bit the lights and the sharpness, nothing else.
