| Intro: | Welcome, friends, to my profile. A brief introduction: I am a graphic designer and writer by profession, working for a university in Indiana. I've had a long-time interest in photography, but have never pursued it professionally. It remains a part-time hobby, but one that I expect will grow stronger with age. I enjoy, most of all, outdoor nature photography. Many of the shots I will be posting are scenes I have encountered while hiking solo. I also enjoy writing prose and poetry, and often find inspiration for writing while camping or on a hike. I hope to include bits of these writings with my photo captions, where appropriate. I've been very pleased with my little Nikon Coolpix 4300 camera. But sometime soon I hope to upgrade to a digital SLR and related equipment. If I had unlimited time and resources, I would dive headlong into photography, and never look back. :-) I look forward to becoming an active, contributing member of this online community.
