After that I cut off parts of the sides that took too much attention, I added an unsharp mask of 10% - 50 pixel radius and last a frame.

I clone stamped away your name in the picture, added a a frame and placed your name on the frame. (Sorry, I hate names in pictures. If you're afraid your shots get stolen. They will anyhow...) ;-)
Last some adjustments on saturation and colour curves to get a more intense picture.

A small USM of 10% - 50 pix radius. After that I fiddled with the Image - Adjustments - Selective Colour option. I changed the blue, green and yellow.

I think the result would have been better with a bigger picture, but it shows what I was looking for in the shot. Hope you like it!

(2) [2007-09-10 01:04:19] [1] | I first used a tool of 55mm plugins. It's a polarizer plugin, which makes the sky a bit clearer and the colours a bit harder.
After that an increase of brightness with +5 and contrast +20. A small adjustment on highlights last.
It makes the existing dark parts harder and the lighter parts lighter, resulting in more contrast overall. Hope you like it! |

(2) [2007-09-10 00:42:15] [1] | I started with an adjustment in the curves to get the greens a bit out and make the shadows a bit more harsh.
After that a general increase in saturation of +4, an adjustment in greens saturation of +10, and an adjustment in yellow saturation in +14.
The I used a special 55mm photoshop plugin which resembles the effect of a polarizer. Just to get the polarizer-effect on the sky and the water reflections.
And last a very slight contrast enhancement.

I increased the highlights once more, then inverted the shot, worked on the colour balance to get it to red and added a glow around the edges. |
