I used the dodge tool first just along the hairline to assure that the fine hairs will show up when I clone over them with the blue and then selected the shadow and cloned it out with a large soft low opacity brush. That's all! Hopw you like it.

Here you see about lead-in lines..cropping out the (in my view) the disturbing background and also.. about being 'vague' the line ' destiny unknown '
But again.. this is my idea of coming up with the photo .. from another 'angle
To make the silhouettes more solid I increased contrast. I felt it needed some red in the light so increased red in colour balance. Increased saturation a little before removing noise and sharpening. Hope you like it.
