(21694) [2008-09-27 01:32:09] [3] | Firstly I cropped from the left and bottom of the shot to try and give a more balanced view.
next I used gamma correction +30 to try and give more light and show more detail on the black kid.
I increased the colour saturation +30 which lifted the colour but not the contrast again to show more detail.
I ran a 14 pixel drop shadow in green on the bottom right to again give the illusion of more space on that side and then an outside frame in white.
Hopefully this now gives you a slightly clearer and more balanced shot. I realise this looses the daisys which you wanted to keep but its important to remember the main focus here was on the kids so the small sacrafice at loosing the additional flowers does not really hurt too much.
Hope you like it |

(21694) [2008-09-25 12:49:51] | I liked the idea of William looking towards his own name so swaped the images around a little and then decided to give it a frame to match all the tones in together.
Hope you like it

(21694) [2008-09-08 12:44:47] | Hi peeps, Workshop as promised!
Thats better I had my usual software to use this evening.
Taking the original shot I cropped and re sized.
The BG was grainy and the flower not as sharp as I would like so I decided to enhance the contrast between the bee and the flower by blurring everything except the bee.
There was still too much going on in the BG so I over painted a large section to give what I hope is the feel of a water colour painting.
Gamma correct +20 lifted the light enough to see more detail on the bee, sharpened once and re sized
Added text and two lines just because I liked the idea :-)
Hope this is better than this mornings post. A lot softer but the bee is now clearer and more detailed.
TTFN regards Smurfie |

(21694) [2008-09-04 00:31:30] | | Hi Peeps, so here he is in all his glory, sneaking in on the act when I was trying to capture the yellow flowers. I decided to relegate him to the workshop today to show another POV on this pretty shrub. |

(21694) [2008-08-20 06:12:55] [2] | Hello Bryan
I felt that a lot of detail was missing from the rose and the BG was a tad grainy. So I ran a portrait soften in Paint.net which softened the BG and gives more detail to the petals whilst also giving the flower a softer romantic feel.
Hope you like it

(21694) [2008-08-18 12:27:07] | As the image is not straight I thought I would accent the fact that the pony is cheekily poking its head around the corner by giving it another framed corver which hopefully distracts the eye from the panels which are not straight.
Cropped from both sides to remove excess. reversed the image, (just personal preference) added a second layer and selected an area for internal framing, rubbed out the framing so the pony leans through it. Enlarged as much as quality would allow, framed, lifted colour a tad and sharpned. I hope you like it

(21694) [2008-08-16 14:32:13] [1] | | Just cropped a little to bring the accent onto the building being naturally framed rather than the greenery that was framing it. resized as much as I could without loosing too much detail. |

(21694) [2008-08-16 14:21:12] [2] | Well this didnt work quite as planned. I made the BG the same colour as the TL BG but there is an auto frame function on TL so we still have a black border.
I took 4 small sections from your image that show the sea naturally framed either on all or some sides by the trees and enlarged them as much as the original size would allow. All these are now mini naturally framed images. They would have just floated on the screen with no outer frame but the Black line is out of my control. Anyway I hope this gives you an idea of the natural framing
