Intro: Hello everyone,

Updated: 20th of August, 2008

General info:

I'm László Kaposvári, a guy from Hungary, Europe. Born in 1972, married, having 2 children (boys, 9 and 3 years). I'm an amateur, who loves photography. I was always interested in it, but I feel I began being an amateur photographer when I bought my 1st digital camera, HP PhotoSmart R607. I learned a lot, but I feel I still have to learn a lot, that's why I'm here... I love to make photos about many things like buildings, nature etc., but my favourite theme is the railway vehicles and - maybe surprisingly - fungi (mushrooms, toadstools, puffballs etc.).

I'm also a member of TN and TE, see my

TrekEarth and

TrekNature accounts.

In November, 2007 I celebrated my one-year anniversary on the Trek-sites. My feelings are quite positive, I learned a lot from You, colleagues. Check out my anniversary image on TrekLens and please read the note - because I've written everything what I should type here.

Some more to the end: hiking in the nature (in the Bükk mountains) is a serious part of my life, I like it very much. I uploaded a lot of nature photos to each site, and I created the following themes:

Bükk National Park on TrekEarth

Bükk National Park on TrekLens

On TrekNature I didn't create "Bükk National Park" theme, because the majority of my photos were done there. Instead You can see Fungi of Hungary.

Update 20th of August, 2008:

In the last few months we didn't meet too often. Around the last Christmas time I began feeling the Treks became much more like an extra daily work instead of fun, and I've had a drop in motivation. Of course, during this period I made photos, but didn't publish here or elsewhere. I returned TrekNature in spring with my fungi shots (mostly), because we have fantastic fungi season here, so I photographed really a lot. I also became member of a local fungi club, and was asked to be one of the photographers of our website. But I feel the need to fully return to TrekLens now, too.

On 27th of July my dream came true, and I managed to buy the camera I always wanted: Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-50. So, my current equipment collection is:

-Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-50
-HP PhotoSmart R817
-HP PhotoSmart R607 (given to my older son, but who knows, I may use it in the future if the other 2 cams won't be available for me)
-Ricoh AF-5 analogue camera (kept as a memory of the old days)
-Hama tripod
-home-made mini-tripod (done by my father)

To finish the story: my stupid nickname "Hormon Manyer" was created from the name of the alpine ski world- and olympic champion, World Cup winner ski star Hermann Maier, and in Hungarian means "hormone wins today". :)

I wish You all the very best, I try to write to everyone who respects me with a critique / comment.
