| Intro: | Hello to all. marco_v@versatel.nl You can contact me at marco_v@versatel.nl A good friend of mine pointed out this website to me and I must say that overall i'm impressed with the quality of the pictures shown here. It kinda makes me wonder where I stand with my own pictures. I used to shoot only during my trips to other countries. I love coming home with an album full of nice memories from the place I visited. Doing so, I really neglected the opportunities that lie in front of me, my own, little flat country, the Netherlands. So every once in a while I would shoot some pics in my own area and I must confess, some of my best (imho) shots are from Holland. I must say, the digital era is my thing! I now have a Sony Alpha, where I used to have a Nikon F70 with a Tamron 28-200. I loved that lens, I never had to use other lenses (maybe that's becouse I didn't have any other at that time). The 28-200 range was sufficient for me and it prevented me from the embarrasing scenes of standing in a swampy Dutch pasture, surrounded by cows and flies, trying ackwardly to swap lenses, ending up with one lens in the mud, while the other lens is on the body JUST after the foto-opportunity has gone... nah, a fixed lens for me it is.
