 Cropped | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-28 16:02:54] [1] | Hi Mitra, I have cropped around your flowers so we can concentrate more on the flowers than the greenery.
Then I added a white border.
I hope you like it

(24825) [2008-06-28 15:56:46] [1] | Hi Jong, I have adjusted the "Gamma Correct" to lighten this and then I "revived the colours" - just to make it easier to see.
I used the free version of PhotoFiltre that I down loaded off teh internet.
I hope you like what I did,
TFS

Cropped to Off-centre it | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-23 22:22:05] [3] | I have cropped around your flower - most photos look better with the main subject, like this flower, is not in the very centre of the image.
I hope you like it,

An Old Barn for Karen (20) * Janice

Closer look at the barn | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-21 01:56:39] | This is a closer look at the old barn.
The old tree is a dead Macrocarpa tree, which is a native to Monterey, California, and is thought to have been introduced to New Zealand by miners who came here for the 1860s gold rushes.
As fully-matured trees, 40 years and over, they might reach up to 24 metres with diameter of 1.6 metres at their base. |

 192 Metres above | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-19 14:01:58] | Life on the Edge – 192 metres high
These walkers are on the Walkway and I'm in the Restaurant taking photos.
We are 192 metres above the ground.
Note the ropes dangling on the left of the Tower - they are the guiding ropes used when someone bungy-jumps off the ledge. |

 Photographing the photographer | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-15 00:56:57] | Photographing the photographer:
See how the guide is leaning past the first 3 ladies of the group to take the photos of the lady posted here, plus the man - that photo I'll post tomorrow.
Check the body language - see how they are huddling all tight together!! |

 Onuku Marae | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-14 01:57:27] | Onuku Marae
Ōnuku Marae is the marae of Ōnuku Rūnanga, one of the five Papatipu Rūnanga of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu located on Horomaka. The takiwā of Ōnuku Rūnanga centres on Ōnuku and the hills and coasts of Akaroa it adjoins Te Rūnanga o Koukourarata and Wairewa Rūnanga.
Today the marae is booked for use for eight to nine months of the year. Its peaceful location and idyllic surroundings away from the city make it ideal for meetings and conferences. Every second weekend the marae is reserved for the use of Ōnuku whānau.
The small, simple church at Onuku, across the road from the marae, is one of the country's most beautifully sited historic buildings.
Ōnuku Marae is a five kilometre meandering drive from the Akaroa township towards the heads of Akaroa Harbour. |

 Another view | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-13 02:07:45] | There was quite a lot of reflection on the window, but I quite like this image.
Note number 1 and 3 are holding on tightly to their ropes, while the last man and the 2nd and 4th ladies look quite nonchalant!!
The guide was so relaxed!!!
I live in the far distant area behind them.

 From inside | Janice
(24825) [2008-06-13 02:03:13] | This shows you how close they are to the Observation Restaurant. It was very interesting to see them walking along the track beside us - about 3 metres away.
There was a lot of reflection on the windows too.
Cheers
