 reducing saturation | Maria74
(5997) [2006-02-15 05:31:11] [2] | Hi Marcel
just wanted to try this, maybe you won't like it as it reduced the contrast?
Just reduced saturation for about 15-20% first;
I wanted to remove yellow that you mentioned in your notes, so I did it in PS, Image/Adjustement/Selective colour/Whites and reduced the Yellows completely.
that's it. |

crop and texture enhancing | Maria74
(5997) [2006-01-30 16:21:27] [1] | Maybe you won't like it, lakshmi, but I wanted to try this:
tighter crop and some straightening
in PS, Adjustements>Equalize....it makes a nice balance between light and shadows
in corel paint pro X - clarify feature, it brought out the textures some more
I am not sure about the crop now...maybe i should have left it as it was? |

 Clarify | Maria74
(5997) [2006-01-26 11:15:52] [2] | Maybe you will not like it, as it does lose a 'foggy' look your photo has. I used Corel Paint Pro Shop X and the feature 'Clarify', twice. It doesn't mean I thought your photo is not clear enough, it's just the name of the adjustement feature I use to enhance the scene sometimes.
Hope you don't mind, lovely work, thankyou for sharing! |

 Feedback filter | Maria74
(5997) [2005-12-25 05:18:02] [10] | Maybe too radical this way? sorry if it is, just wanted to follow the title.
I applied 'feedback' filter in Corel Paint Pro X, and then in PS, a filter called Sepia Midnight (from NikColour Pro set). It also looked good with Midnight Blue filter, but I noticed you like this sepia colour in your work, so I didn't want to change it.
Uradjeno malo na brzinu, izvini ako sam totalno promasila. Puno pozdrava! |

 Graduated Orange | Maria74
(5997) [2005-12-17 07:27:12] [5] | | I hope you don't mind. I wanted to see what the pic would look like with more orange in the background. Added filter 'Graduated Orange' (Nik Colour Pro) and faded Autolevels with Multiply (opacity about 30%). It doesn't enhance the photo as the quality is already superb, just adds a bit of the drama I think. |

 B&W plus Warming Filter | Maria74
(5997) [2005-11-10 15:46:30] [9] | As I told you, just wanted to see this lovely portrait (is that your daugter?) like an oldie.
First I sharpened the picture a bit, then only her left eye. Blurred her facial skin to make it softer, and also the background (it had noise after my sharpening). Turned to grayscale, autoleveled it, added more brighteness, and applied warming filter (Photoshop CS). It actually has similar effect as sepia, but with a bit more 'orange'.
I hope you will like it, and congratulations for this wonderful photo! |
