| Intro: | I live in an isolated area of the West Coast of the South Island, just south of a small town called Haast. I am the fourth generation of a pioneering family and moved away when I left school. I returned four years ago and built a guest lodge (www.collyerhouse.co.nz). Last year a camera was put in my hands to 'play' with .... I haven't stopped playing!! I bought my own camera in November last year and spend every spare moment photographing our beautiful landscape. I am very grateful for the help I receive from friends. I remember my grandfather pointing to the mountains and telling me how beautiful they were and giving me the best advice ever "whatever you do in life don't you ever take God's beauty for grated". I was four years old. The best thing about photography for me is being able to see the landscape in finer detail - and being able to capture it. |
