| Intro: | In two days, on June 15, 2005, I will celebrate my first year with Treklens. In some ways it seems to have gone by as swiftly as Wout's(Nessuno)wink. I have learned many things here. I have learned that this is a great place to be. When the world is heavy on my shoulders and the weight becomes impossible to bear, I slip easily through the always open doors of Treklens and through your photos I can travel the world and see glorious sights I will never see in my real existence. Each of you take my hand and give me a guided tour or your world and your thoughts.... it is a magic carpet ride........... I have learned there are wonderful and talented people here who love photography and are always eager to help those of us who need it. Through our photos we learn each others pets, our children, our spouses or friends and most of all, we get to know each other. This is a warm and caring website where both professional and ameteur photographers gather side by side in understanding, love, acceptance and peace. Sure, we disagree over some issues, just like most families. Several of my best friends here are ones I disagreed with the hardest long ago! It usually turns out to be a matter of misunderstanding I have learned that I am in awe of all the creative talent here. Treklens has the best there is and I am proud to say that. We have all shared ultimate joy together and flown with the Eagles in that joy. And we have all plummented to the earth in abject sorrow together in moments of losses too painful to bear. We are family. We are photographers. We are special..... Here's to another year. May it be a great one with lots of happiness and smiles......:O)Kat | |
