(23588) [2008-04-10 04:43:19] | Using Photoshop, I cropped off the unneeded sand at the bottom and thus created a stronger diagonal lead-in line. I also straightened it so that the horizon is level. A further suggestion would be, in future, to avoid distractions like the flag that dominates the foreground. It cannot be easily cloned out as the scene behind it is fairly complex.

So I cropped it down by stages , never more than 10% at a time, saving in between each step. I also cloned out a couple of small stones and the toe of a mother's shoe

Every candle is placed carefully so that it is never below another branch and it is anchored to the branch with a special clip that locks onto the branch as well as onto the candle and has a little cup to catch dripping wax |
