| Intro: | Hi It was only around 4 years ago I purchased my first camera - A small pocket 3mp Pentax digital. Turned out to be a bad experience as it stopped working properly and Pentax refused to fix it or replace it. :-( However, I purchased a new camera a Kodak Z740. Excellent camera and was super impressed by its functions and the quality of the photographs. I used the Kodak to take "thousands" of photos, mainly of up-and-coming Bands at a live music venue in my home town. I administered the venues website and uploaded a large percentage of those photos - I also, happily, allowed the bands to download and use the photos for their own promotional purposes - myspace, websites, posters, flyers etc and never, ever charged any of them for doing so. The venue had a great concept and never charged bands to play. This attracted bands from throughout the UK and even several touring bands from the U.S. (Chicago, San Antonnio and L.A.) I also used it on a holiday to Gran Canaria in Sept 2006. March 2007 - decided to give things a push and see how far I can take my photography. Purchased a fantastic Panasonic FZ50. Really impressed by it so far and oozing with enthusiasm and always learning. Really appreciate people taking the time to offer feedback. Thank you. | |
