Color Correction in PSCS3

Open image in Photoshop
ctrl+M with take you to Curve adjustments
Reduce RGB to your choice
Reduce yellow by adding blue to your choice
ctrl+U takes you to Hue/Saturations
Reduce Yellow so as to see the whites as white with no yellow.
And you are done:)

Despite warm up photofilter in PS, and using Velvia vision, it has a cool blue look to it that I don't like much. Probably a by product of polarisation in camera.

Gradient Tool in PS2

Following advice from Korbee and X-Ray, I have gone back to this one, and darkened the sky.

I used the gradient tool in Photoshop, set to "colour burn" at 20%, and ran it over the sky area, twice.

I also increased the saturation of the buildings to make them stand out a little more.

I think it's better, what say you guys ?

Created a new layer (sky only) darkened this layer
Combined layer in ps7
Finally used auto colour to correct saturation
Hope this is usefull (would be interested to find out if you find this ws usefull)

Regarding Snaphappy's comment - This is the original version stright from the camera. As you can see this is lighter and less saturated than the posted version. I adjusted the levels, and saturation a little, and used the burn tool to darken the background. Whether or not you agree with this approach is down to personal taste I suppose...but if your original is a bit washed out, you can certainly improve it this way.

This is the finished original version - but without the Orton Image technique, which uses gaussian blur to create the soft more ethereal look to it.

All I did was blur the background pretty much, by using the "blur more" background tool in photoshop 7. I also used the burn tool by the man on the right hand side-by his foot. just for fun...
