| Intro: | When i was 15 i did a multimedia class at school - this taught me the basics of photoshop and gave me my first taste of digital photography. i think the camera we used was a sony, and it took a floppy disc. we could fit 38 photos on one floppy. back then we thought it was amazing technology. From then onwards, my interest in photography gradually increased. At 16, i got my first job, at a Smith's Kodak Express store.i spent 2 years selling cameras and working in the minilab. When Kodak closed down i moved to a Konica Minolta Photo Express store. it was at this time that i also started work with a local photographer(www.kidstownphoto.com) - where the key to the best shots was being in the right place at the right time, with a quick aim and shutter speed! No set up portraits for me!!! Great shots showing kids living it up as they're meant to. Into year 2 of my teaching degree - and so far, the photography component has been very basic, but... has been forcing me to do things i hadnt previously done. I did a few months work at a pro lab, and am well and truly sick of correcting people's images, did some santa photos and now work in a high paced, inner city lab and retail camera store.
