(13323) [2006-03-21 10:54:35] [7] | Hi Daniel,
I gave light to your image by adjusting the contrast and saturation. I applied a 'Graduated Blue' filter to give colour to the sky. Then with the History tool I brought back the original colour of the trees. I also applied a 'Indian Summer' filter to enhance the colour on the background. Finally, I added a frame.
I hope you like it. :)

(13323) [2006-03-19 11:22:55] [6] | Hi Daniel,
What I wanted to achieve here was to give light to the photo. So, I adjusted the saturation and contrast. I applied an "Indian Summer" filter to enhance the background colours and cropped it a lot, as the sky colour is not the best. I also added a frame.
I hope you like it. :)

(295) [2006-03-18 17:03:38] | This is a original shot before PP work. Nothing exciting just a plan, portrait shot of my watch.
- Cloned out the branding on the watch
- Levels adjusted on the histogram
- Framed using canvas size. |

Fliped, re-cropped and levels adjusted | banditloon
(295) [2006-03-16 16:47:24] | I've been sifting through the files on my laptop, backing up all my RAW files and found this one, and thought I'd like to do a workshop on it, now I have a grasp of what I'm doing on Photoshop. So, here is the workshop on this image
- cropped the Tiff file and flipped it horizontally.
- RGB levels adjusted on the histogram until the peaks were more centralised.
- Unsharp mask of 50% added.
- Canvas size adjusted (x3) to add different size frames. |

colour correction, motion & radial blur | andtine
(1107) [2006-03-13 13:50:21] [1] | 1. I corrected the colours using levels (as mentioned in other workshops I’ve done)
2. I copied the original picture into a layer
3. I made a selection on the copy layer using the magic wand tool of the entire bike and rider and using the quick mask tool checked it was accurate (painting black or white where the selection needed improving). Make sure you also select the background visible through the rider’s arms etc. I then inverted the selection so I had selected the landscape.
4. Using filter blur motion blur I selected a large blur (600) in the direction the bike was travelling
5. I then inverted the selection and add motion blur to the rider but a very small amount (3).
6. I then changed the opacity of the copy layer (about 45%) to tone down the motion blur
7. flatten the layers and make a further copy as before.
8. I then made a selection of the back wheel on the new copy (making sure not to select any static parts of the bike) and applied filter blur radial blur, I then repeated the operation on the front wheel but applied less radial blur as it was not touching the ground. In this case I didn’t feel the need to alter the opacity of the layer so just flattened it.
I did this very quickly and as such got a bit of a slow sync flash efect (e.g. you can see some blur from the biker going forward) but the technique can create a good effect if a little care is taken.
