I thought of a totally different rendition of the sphinx and this is what I came up with.

First off, I started by Correcting the colour of the sky, and gave it a yellow filtre as if to mimick the colour of the sky that is sometimes seen in the desert, in the movies and documentaries. Than I went onto saturate the shot, to make it darker. The next step was a correction of the colour balance, and finally a highlight/midtone/shadow effect which gave this shot more of a darker and artistic feeling to it.

I decided to crop out the pyramid, since I thought the primary focus is on the sphinx.

Well, I've darkened it by saturating it and than I decided to crop it since I felt that the medal or medallion was a bit too distracting!

Retro look

I've decided to give it a different look! More retro!
Well, I resized the space around the photo to allow for a bigger amount of space to work with, I desaturated, blurred it a bit and gave it a sepia tone!

Than I cloned the woodwork panelling, to give more focus on the guages and the screen and I slightly rotated, to centre the screen (although I think it's not as centre as I wish it was)

I've decided to give it more focus, by getting rid of all the objects in the background, rotating the flower to it's current position, contrasting and saturating the overall shot, to produce the puff to be much brighter and the shadows darker!

I cropped out the interesting lines that I guessed were terraces and sub floors, and darkened the rest of the image.

I also increased the saturation!

Well, I liked the idea of the snow covered bench, but I thought some of the things were distracting so here, I decided to work out a workshop!

First of all, I got rid of some of those distractions, I bleached the ground with a highlight/midtone/shadow adjustement and a cutting tool, than I went onto clarify it and adjust the contrast!
