I hope you like this. I downloaded photo. In PSE 6 saved as tiff. Did a layer copy under mode chose "soft light" then lowered opacity to 70%. Flattened layers. Did another layer copy & did unsharp mask at 85%, .7 pixels, & 4 layers. I thought this brightend up the photo & put more emphasis on the top of the stairs. Don

I was a bit bothered by the hands not quite being there and the white blur in the foreground, as well as the white area on the top of the frame, so I just tried a different crop. That's all. -Hugh
