 under a tree canopy | cunejo200
(17509) [2009-10-20 07:38:34] | | Under a tree canopy, I watched with my dog the funeral of a young American who died in the Afghanistan war. The ceremony was formal and reserved for war heroes. I saw his parents but wondered where his friends were. A solemn sound from the bugle waffled in the air. My dog got upset and started a most disturbing howl, I covered his mouth to silence him, he bit me and started running away. I chased him. A sad day indeed. |

 USM + Auto contrast | cunejo200
(17509) [2009-10-18 06:04:59] [3] | I used Luko's technique for sharpening. I found these procedures from TE:
1st pass : high radius and very low effect, this one is like cleaning up your monitor with some optical wash liquid, it's like removing the "haze".
2nd pass : low radius, high effect then Darken blend mode. it increase sharpening on darker parts, as it doesn't provide any edge effect we can leave it to full 100% effect (edit/fade).
3rd pass : low radius, high effect then brighten blend mode. It will sharpen brighter parts, the cause for these white edges we can spot on too many oversharpened pix we see here and there. We will then decrease the effect to around 50% to remove or lessen these white edges. |

(17509) [2009-10-04 05:08:39] [3] | | I made two additional copies in photoshop, +1 and -1 exposure settings, then merged the two copies plus your original in photomatix. As I have said I like the original better. I am posting this WS mainly for my learning experience. Have a good Sunday |
