Under a tree canopy, I watched with my dog the funeral of a young American who died in the Afghanistan war. The ceremony was formal and reserved for war heroes. I saw his parents but wondered where his friends were. A solemn sound from the bugle waffled in the air. My dog got upset and started a most disturbing howl, I covered his mouth to silence him, he bit me and started running away. I chased him. A sad day indeed.

Curves, contrast, sharpening

Hi Danilo,

I started with your post and did the following:

in camera raw
- in basic settings tab: recovery=43, fill light=100
- in detail tab: sharpening amount=0, noise reduction both luminance and color to 100

in cs3
- to lab mode
- add curves adjustment layer (see 2nd ws entry, which I'll post tomorrow since I'm out of ws today)
- flatten image
- image -> adjustments -> shadow/highlights (shadows: amount=0, highlights: amount=30, tonal width=50, radius=100)
- select only the l-channel than filter -> sharpen -> usm values (100/1/1)
- to rgb mode

I doubt though that the Potomac's water is that green, but I talk myself out of it with "never was there but I could've seen it like that". :))))
