I've done a lot of subtle things here: contrast masking, sharpening, saturation adjustment, levels adjustment and curves all to bring out some of the details in the grass, roof and mountains. It's a lovely image. I hope you find this workshop useful.

Using levels, I brought up the darks a bit to shake off the gray film over this otherwise great image. Then I adjusted the hue and saturation of the yellows just a tad to put more life into the grass and dog's coat. Then I did a little bit of sharpening on part of the dog's face and body - doing it on other places would have enhanced the grain. Hope you find this useful

To bring out the details, I adjusted the curves, raising the center point and also a bit on the lower end. I then applied a tiny bit of warm filter (85) to enhance the slight hint of color already here. Finally, a tiny bit of cropping removed the hair(?) on the side

Selected much of the sky with a high feather setting, then darkened the selection quite a bit and decreased the contrast at the same time
