| Intro: | After years of 'working' with my Minolta Dimage Z1 with an extra wide converter I finally bought a reflex camera. I must say, geez why didn't I do this earlier(the price maybe)? The Minolta was a pretty fine camera especially with the wide angle but getting really outdated. It was just a 3 Mega p. camera and with the absence of light it gave quite some noise in the dark areas. Basically I'm here to develop my photography skills. So any comment which might make me learn something again is very much appreciated. Well let's see what is possible with this Sony A300. I bought this Sony SAL 18/250 lens just before my 5 week holiday to the Philippines. Just with the idea of being flexible enough in the range from wide angle to ultra zoom capacity. I thought this would serve me well during the festivals that I was going to attend. And during my holiday I came to the conclusion that I was right. Despite some weaknesses that the lens has like a shadow effect created by the lens when photographing food on the table with flash and with a bad or not working AF in areas with bad lighting. Besides this I am still happy with this new lens. All the best to you all, André | |
