| Intro: | Hi I’m Ding, amateur in Digital Photography. In high school my father gave me his old Minolta camera which brings me to enthusiasm of taking pictures of almost anything I would like to take. Before it is a very expensive hobby for someone like me who can’t always afford to bring the films for developing. Pursuing my interest, providing my self with what my pocket can buy, comes some mobile phone with camera in it. And yes it really makes me happy seeing what I have taken out of these low profile gadgets I own. It takes me sometime to earn some bucks to buy me a digital camera for my self. With my interest in photography, I am very happy to join everyone in this hobby, particular in TL. Now I just need to practice taking good pictures, and I hope to hear some comments, directions, corrections and opinions from all the people here. Please let me know your ideas, it will make me better for more pictures to come. Hope you enjoy all the pictures I will post. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: [UPDATE: AUGUST 12, 2006] Its been one month now, and I already learned a lot. Still I am learning to used my camera, its features. I learned: CAMERA: Base on my observations. It is realy an advantage of a person having a good camera to make the shots and come up with the result he/she wants. During the first month of my observation and learning, I notice that it is the passion of the person that makes him capture great events and sceneries. If the person lacks in camera/lens power, its his determinations and imaginations that fills that gap between those who have it. Me? I am still learning, hopefully will not relly on PP to have a good result in the future... :) WORKSHOP: I find this features BIG deal. This is where critiques and comments cannot compete. The idea of a person was being visualy brought out for the sake of others, here everyone can share their ideas and can easily be understand by the author and also others who visited the Workshop. I learn many things here, by visiting the workshop of others, techniques and ideas are clear and easy to understand. CRITIQUES/COMMENTS: I find this more amusing, rather than the source for improvement. Yes of course I will not argue with somebody saying the other way. Addictive! Yes it does to me. When you feel happy from something/someone, you will find a way to reach it, feels it, and sees it again and again, and even keep looking and waiting for something new :). And this is the reason why I find critiques/comments amuzing. I doesnt received much of these, but when I received even one, It makes me happy. POINTS: Hey! Who would not want to have a points? During my stay as of now, somebody realy lives for point and somebody doesnt care at all. Somebody would just leaved a comments or critiques to someone without realy helping the author for improvements, of course there will always be an exemption specialy to photos thats already reach its best result, who could ever suggest for more? :) NAMES/ALIAS: I already knew few of them, seem like they become a friend in person and not virtualy here. I remember easily the name or alias when most of the time, I like his/her work, I often read his comments before or after mine for others, and those who share ideas and techniques on how a person like me can improve. LANGUAGE/SPELLING/GRAMMAR: I am bad at this! you should probably know by now. :) I just hope there will be a transalation for TAGALOG into english so that, if somebody reads a comments/critiques of a Filipino, they can also understand it if they want to know the meaning.
