When I took it in ps I respected it more then ever.
So as change there are just a fuw little things I did.
Bw, add the space on the right and removed the small bit next to your "mirrow".
This remanes a beauty.

J'adore votre photo, aussi j'ai pensé que ne garder que le foulard en rose pouvait apporter une note intéressante. Ma technique: j'ai désaturé une copie de la photo, j'y ai ajouté un effet de charcoal, puis après avoir détouré le foulard sur la photo originale, j'ai transporté le foulard sur mon layer noir et blanc. J'ai à la fin ajouté un soupçon de couleur sur les joues et les lèvres du modèle pour faire un rappel du rose! J'espère que cela vous plaira.

I cropped your model, however I couln't totally blur out the background which I would have done so, crashes.
I made a copy and on the copy I went to Filters/ Glaus. blur and blurred it pretty good.
Then I went to the layers window, click on the opacity slider on "Normal" and brought it back till I got this softness. Flatten image saved as jpeg as close to 200 as possible.
This is just to get you started on a different view. Colors could be adjusted etc. It's all up to the one working on the subject.

(6780) [2004-11-12 18:25:19] [1] | selected the model and inversed the selection, made a new layer from the background and increased brighness to achieve this effect , faded till satisfaction..selected the bborder with feater 50 Px an inversed and cut the border ..
Now it's got more feeling in it don't you agree ? |

I thought it's a very nice portrait. I wanted to give to it my own idea, I hope you dont mind.
1) Cropped diferently
2) With Hue/Saturation - decreased orange
3) Played with layers - duplicated layer with photo twice
4) top layer - set blending mode to overlay, opacity 38%; sharpened 198% 0.5 px, 2 levels
5) middle layer opacity 44% - blurred with gaussian blurr 8.2 px
6) bottom layer - unchanged
7) framed
