| Intro: | Hello, It is really nice to be able to participate in this page. I believe that it will improve my photographic knowledge and skills. Besides being able to be critical,this page also allows me to be-friend many people of the same interest. On getting 1000 points: In my celebration note of scoring 1000 ( not a big deal anyway - it is nothing comapred to others) I would like to take this opportunity, as a novice in photography to convey my appreciations and thanks to TREKKERS who supported me in making this addictive hobby an interesting and challenging one. There are so many individuals who responded and give tips , advice and critique to enhance my photos. These wonderful people range from scorers of a few hundreds to tens of thousands. But mostly to Jusni Nasirun, who is responsible in "forcing" me to join this trek stuff. I have long kept my manual cameras inside my shoe box, it is almost 14 years. Now I’m back with unpolished skills and need serious upgrading in post production. I found that it is fun and very exciting. It becomes a routine to look into the pages everyday for a few times and it takes time too to write the critique and answering them. What I discover from my point of view and for my point of reference in making a good shot - i. Find good subjects - catchy & unique ii. Possess a good post production skill - LR,CS, PS iii. work hard in experimenting shots iv. understand the camera well v. use all the necessary tools – tripod, lenses, filters etc vi. learn and understand from other good photos vii. Photographic elements - lines, perspectives, pov, dof , frame within frame , contrast, rules of third, etc viii. Presentation - cropping, framing, rotation etc ix. Creativity - to be able to manipulate the above items to produce a stunning shot x. PATIENCE -It pays to be patient especially in writing and replying critiques nd comments. In capturing flowers, patience is crucially needed. The wind factor, the wasps, red ants , curious eyes, funny interpretations are some interesting ones. John Shaw (1992) said ; We are surrounded by beauty and live in a world of wonder, if only we take the time to see what is all around us and permit ourselves to feel deeply and genuinely. In the smallest detail, we might discover tranquil, harmony, and in the largest expanse, elation and joy. We can find meaning and values in caring for the earth and its creatures.
