 Cropped, added frame | gardenwife
(851) [2007-07-30 11:58:08] [1] | | All I did was crop the photo so the cubbyholes full of colorful ties were the focal point. I sharpened it just a bit after cropping it. I know some like frames and some don't, but I tried one out here, too. |

Cropped, sharpened, added frame | gardenwife
(851) [2007-07-21 16:25:34] | | I just did a simple edit in Irfanview, cropping the table and cup out of the left side of the frame. I then sharpened it just a little and added a frame. |

 Adjusted hue | gardenwife
(851) [2005-07-22 17:05:23] [4] | | I adjusted the hue away from its blue bias, increased saturation and contrast. The only other thing I did was sharpen a bit and add the frame. |

 Closer cropping | gardenwife
(851) [2005-05-18 16:45:52] [2] | I thought this would benefit from closer cropping, adjustment of gamma and contrast, and the addition of a frame.
Wonder why the performer didn't make his legs grey to match his face and hands... |

 Framing | gardenwife
(851) [2005-05-17 02:37:49] | | Just did minimal tweaking, raised gamma a little and framed. It's such a sweet portrait, just needed the focus of a frame, I thought. Used Photofiltre's simple frame filter along with the outside frame tool. Nothing fancy or too bold. |

 Framed, sharpened edges | gardenwife
(851) [2004-12-29 02:01:16] [3] | Your photo is so striking, I thought it would look even better if framed. I used PhotoFiltre to add a frame:
1. Increased canvas size, adding 2 pixels to each side's measurement. Made the background color black and kept image in the center of the canvas. This framed the image in a thin black line.
2. Increased canvas size a second time, this time adding 20 pixels to each side's measurement. Made the background color white and kept image in the center of the canvas. This framed the image in a wider black line while keeping the first black line within.
3. Did Filter > Frame > Simple Frame and did a 3 pixel black frame, 100% opaque
4. Did Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen Edges to bring out more detail without making everything look too overdone (could have done better with USM in Photoshop - don't have it installed yet).
Hope you like it!

 Tighter crop, frame | gardenwife
(851) [2004-09-02 23:43:50] [3] | | I thought cropping this image a little more tightly would increase its visual impact. I also desaturated it just a little bit, sharpened the picture, and added a frame. |

Simple crop and frame | gardenwife
(851) [2004-09-01 21:11:17] [4] | | I thought cropping this a little more would get rid of the distraction in the background and make the dog and his house more prominent. Other than cropping, I sharpened it a little and added a frame. All done in Irfanvew 3.92. |

Just a small crop | gardenwife
(851) [2004-08-31 03:06:47] [5] | | I cropped your picture just a bit, to focus more on the happy subject. There was a lot going on on the background and I found my eye drawn to the right side of the picture more than to your subject. I also added a simple black frame. Edited in Irfanview 3.92. |

 Rotated and cropped | gardenwife
(851) [2004-08-27 14:25:12] [5] | Hi, See -
I rotated the photo and cropped it a little so the tower was just a little off center. I also added a frame. This was all done in Irfanview 3.92. It looks like it could use a run through NeatImage to remove some of the JPG artifacts resulting from compression, but I didn't have time to do this. |
