Hi Kimberly,

I liked this shot. Bright & happy. Just thought the colors needed a little adjustment:

I ran it through Neat Image to reduce some of the noise.
Photoshop curves, selected a good neutral point. Yellow & Green Saturation, Hue & lightness adjustments.
Red Saturation & Hue adjustment for the skin tones.
Brought the White level in selectives way up to cut down on some of the blown-out features.
Minor blur applied selectively on the silk to reduce the sharpening artifacts.

Cropped tighter around the eye, but had to leave part of her nose intact - just the eye looks weird! Then applied USM 1; 85 %; 1.

Using PSP7 I did the folowing:-
:cropped image
:sharpened using unsharp filter to bring out more detail of the feathers
:lightened pupil a little to create reflection
:softened reflection on beak area
:added different border
:saved for TL

I've darkened the edges with b/w gradients in multiply mode; increased canvas size to make it square; lightened the face with the dodge tool. Sharpened, framed. Hope you like it!
