I simply couldn't resist trying this out. It probably makes him look a bit suicidal which wasn't the intention, but I wanted to create a greater contrast between land and water this way. I also upsized and enhanced the contrast. But that didn't really improve anything since I was working on a downsized version already.

This is the version I would have uploaded f I had been left a choice. But sometimes we do have to let the artists show us that there is more to a photo than what the camera sees. A USM filter was applied to the resized version here.

I cropped to concentrate on the dogs, then I resized to 800 pixels, this led a loss of quality so i had to sharpen and finally run it through a noisefilter. Hope you like it.

First I sharpened twice because I found the taylor almost out of focus. After that I ran it through a noise filter to make the surfaces a bit smoother to look at. And finally I used a one-step photo fix in PSP9 that I don't use that often, but here it seemed to do the trick. Maybe the result is too glossy, but see if you like it. Per

I rotated one degree clockwise and then I cropped to get the houseboat closer. Finally I had to resize up a bit and clarify and apply a noisefilter. When you upsize you do tend to lose quality of course. But my point only concerns the treatment of the subject.

This is of course the one I should have posted to give an impression of the beauty of the underwater world in the Red Sea. But it all seemed a bit too traditional, so I posted the other one instead. Same camera, same quality (or lack thereoff) and same scanning and enhancing technique.

Here is a black and white version with a bit of extra work. I adjusted the brightness and contrast, then I used an "edge preserve smooth" filter and finally I added some fill-flash to add some light from the front. Let me know what you think. Per

I enhanced the contrast and collours a little (maybe too much) and then used a noisefilter to remove some noise. But the most important is the close crop where I cut both cap and the other ear to make it look more natural to be so close. I hope you like it.
