I really like your shot to begin with so my playing around with it has nothing to do with its quality, I just wanted to give it a little different nudge. I hope you don't mind :)
First, I croppes the parts that aren't quite as necessary: the left and the bottom.
Left part because we already get so much info on the mountain between the surfer and the sun (while keeping that neat ravine in the shot) and the bottom to just get the movement of the surfer a bit clearer.
After I nudged the curves to bring out a little black and then had fun with the colour management. I made the highlights quite a bit more cyan, adding a little green (+3), the mid-range quite a bit the same and finally the shadowy parts just a bit more green.
While it keeps an overall tone to the whole, I lifted the magenta range to replace it by an icy cyan :D
