I tried correcting this using levels (no good), curves (a wee bit better, rendered a lighter shot), but finally I used the b&w tool to take away all colour haze.
I left the original frame you used, though I think for this once a black or dark grey frame would enhance the snowy mood. |

i got the original and tried to boost the colours but as you see ...
the most colourful thing in this shot was my silver pentax ...
i played around with curves and levels, adjusted contrast ... and finally i decided to go for a B&W version of the shot ;o) |

I leveled a little bit the image by levels to punch out the dark areas some more and tweaked the frame a bit.
