Re-Creating DOF in PS Layers | riverfriends
(6972) [2007-02-15 10:16:17] [1] | Hi Julie!
You have an outstanding capture here. And I do like it as an image with sharp details. This is just another prespective on this for you to consider.
I used the magnetic lasso tool on your so clear and sharp petals, and created a top layer.
On the second layer I used Marquee tool to slect the part right under the petals as you see.
I have 3 layers now.
On second, I double clicked on the layer in layer pallet, and in the options there I selected 'Stroke' and decided on color and size.
Then on the last layer I defused it just enough to give me the right feel for me, and then cropred the total image, and falttened it. If I am sot satisfied, I can go back and work on any of the layers until the flower pops up just enough, and less distraction on background.
Let me know what you thought.
Regards
David
[This not a perfect job by any means and it meant to be for just the idea, you work is perfect:) ] |

I did a workshop to soften the look of little Scooby.
I used the watercolour process in Photoshop 4 to create a watercolour painting look. I hope you like Scoobys new look. Janice |

(27341) [2006-05-25 18:36:32] [3] | Hello Julie!
In order to see better the details of the Chimp,
I worked dark and light tones.
I framed your shot , taking away the bottom part, but keeping the post, I also added a little portion to it. Added title.
Hope you will like it, despite the grainy result.

(27341) [2006-04-08 22:42:43] [5] | OK Here is the idea.
The image I made here is far from perfect, but it is just to give you an idea , so you can work better with your original size photo.
With Photoshop CS.
I cropped the annoying guys in the backround and the top of the photo;
1) Cropping The right , to off center you and
2) Cropping The top , to keep the proportions.
I ajusted Dark tones -40% Light tones + 10%.
I added a bit of saturation
With Photofiltre:
1) Added simple frame , to fill up remaining available space for publishing (^_`).
I hope you will like it!
Cheers!
