It was interesting shot indeed.

I have played with it a bit.

First turned to 90 degree.
Selected rest of the part leaving the insect, and converted into grayscale. (Some grainy patches are there)

Provided thick border

It was well composed image. But the tree and the pillar/wall in foreground were dark.

Selected them and reduced contrast by -2, increased +2 color.

- Selected the dull sky using Magic Wand tool which smoothly selected the sky leaving the birds
- Added blue color with 10 Tolerance and 10 Opacity into the selected sky

The image was very well composed but sky was dull and plain.

Using Photofilre added contrast to the image which completely whited the sky. Thereafter using Magic wand tool copied the shape of the white sky and pasted in second image of sky. The shape from the first image allowed to crop the exact sky which fitted well into the original image.

I tried same thing yesterday with another image however in that WS some grainy patches remained.

But the present image was crisp so it worked smoothly.

Added contrast and colors (hope it is not overdone a bit!).

While adding contrast the bottom of the image becomes almost dark. So selected the lower portion and added extra light to it preserve some details.

As the sky was whited, used Magic wand tool of Photofiltre to replace the white sky with colored. Removed the tourists!:)

Some grainy patches have remained. It was fun to do!

Removed the white patch from the left wall. Sharpened and converted to sepia tone. Added border.
