(2659) [2008-05-18 00:32:31] [2] | These are the things I've done in this pp;
1) Used the Shadows/Highlights function to reduce the the light in the left side of the face and also eliminating the sharp shadow at the edge of the cheek. This also lightened up the right side of the face. Sorry, I didn't take notes on the meter readings.
2) I then used the dodge and burn tools to selectively lighten or darken areas of the face.
3) Used the sharpen tool to add a little light to the eyes.
4) I also used the clone function to get rid some of the small blemishes.
5) I then reduced the noise to smoothen the skin.
Hope you like it. |

(2659) [2008-04-19 06:31:43] [3] | I converted the original closer to B&W. To do this I played around with the Hue/Saturation and Brightness/Contrast.
I then used the Dodge Tool to lighten up the shadows in her eyes and sharpen the eyes using the Sharpen Tool.
To smoothen her skin, I used the Reduce Noise filter.
Hope you like it |

(2659) [2008-02-26 02:13:41] [1] | | In this workshop I adjusted the shadows to allow some details to come out at the same time increasing tonal range. I used the Shadow/Highlight function (Image -> Adjustment -> Shadow/Highlight) by decreasing the shadow amount by 35%. Then I applied Unsharp. Hope you like it. |

(2659) [2008-02-26 01:56:50] [2] | I find the photo has a little horizon tilt and soft color contrast. T adjust these areas I did the following;
1) Image -> Rotate Canvas ... adjusted by 2 degrees.
2) Crop image
3) Image -> Adjustments -> Selective Color ... adjusted mainly the reds, yellow, and magenta.
4) Filter -> Noise -> Reduce Noice
5) Adjust overall contrast Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness/Contrast
Hope you like it. |

(2659) [2008-02-24 18:00:15] [1] | | The original photo has quite a few unnecessary background which takes some of the focus away from the main subject. What I've done was further crop the image, selected some areas I want to blur, and use the Lens Blur function (Filter -> Blur -> Lens Blur). Hope you like it. |

(2659) [2008-02-24 17:27:27] [2] | | Tonal range is quite critical in any B&W composition which the original posting seems to lack. To adjust this I use PhotoShop's Shadow/Highlight function (Image -> Adjustments -> Shadow/Highlight). I just set the shadow amount to 50%. Hope you like it. |
