| Intro: | In the words of Humphry Bogart, "Here's lookin' at you, Kid." Beware, you are warned, I am an amateur of photography in the original sense of the word, because, as long as I can remember, cameras have been a part of my life, first as subject and then as photographer. I started with point and shoot film cameras, then a Pentax SLR and now my seven digital cameras, an evolution. And my eye for a photo has evolved, too, thanks to the mentoring I have received here. 5 January 2006, I have a split photographic personality, the photojournalist and the "artiste." And it's interesting to see who will win from day to day. Lately the "artiste" has been experimenting here, just to see if things work, if people like some of the exagerated images. The photojournalist sticks her head in from time to time, but has largely left in a huff and gone to Trekearth and Treknature. So I have not settled on a consistant style, and maybe never will. I don't even look like myself some days... 3 April 2009-Back after a long pause (work ate my life), I intend to enjoy retirement with as many photographs as possible.
