The original photo, although having a nice diagonal line, had a foreground that distracted from the area without stucco. I cropped it to the area of interest and framed it.

The background was distracting to me and the fountain was smack in the center so I cropped to move Veronica and the fountain more to the right, trying to obey the rule of thirds. I hope you like it.

It wasn't the placement of the children at the center of the photo that bothered my eye, but the large amount of foreground which didn't seem to add to the story. I cropped to remove it and place the children slightly off center, making the composition more interesting, IMHO. I also removed the green cast on the children's complexions brightening the colors slightly. The greenish cast probably was what was really there when when you took the photo, but to my eye, it made the children look slightly moldy. So, what do you think?

I cropped on the left and a little on the top to remove too much negative space. This balances the crop you did of her chin and focuses my attention on her very appealing face and not the spaces around it which were distracting to me. I hope you like the results.

Corrected color

There seemed to be too much blue in the photo so what I did was to change levels in Photoshop by selecting a portion of the photo which should have been black. This got rid of the blue cast. I also framed it in brown like the sign to give it a more finished look. This was a delightful photo to work with and I hope you don't mind that I did.
