black and white conversion | lynnekelman
(1033) [2008-08-18 15:24:39] | | I changed the above to black and white using channel mixer in Adobe. First I change in channels then I go to adjustments and tweek tones just to get it right. I am not happy using the black and white choice in adjustments,I just cannot get the right tonal width---- |

 conversertion to b/w | lynnekelman
(1033) [2008-07-16 18:08:03] | I am undecided whether to make this a colour or black and white upload, so am doing a workshop for the black and white and maybe see what you folks think.
I use channel mixer to transfer colour images to b/w--I do have b/w on Adobe CS3 but it never seems to attain the final tonal quantities that I like--so I go to channel mixer, tick off monochrome and play with the colour flags until tonal quality is just about right-then I go to levels and tweek levels until I get it the way I like it-crisp, contrasty etc----
I really wanted to show the starkness and cold of the winter in this area of the forest that has suffered from fire--it made me feel colder and lonelier than anywhere else in the park---Lynne |
